Shabazz - Malcolm DaughtersThe Malcolm X Quarterly Scholar

The Quarterly Scholar highlights the academic achievements of El-Shabazz Public School Academy students. The students, based on their academic excellence, are identified by their classroom teachers and receive quarterly recognition in this publication. These students, in our opinion, best exemplify the dedication, discipline, and determination, that the school's namesake, Malcolm X, believed to be the key ingredients to individual and community success.

Greetings from our 4th Grade classroom. In room 203 our class motto is "Best of the Best". We strive to do the best we can in every activity we are involved in. I have never had a class who works so hard and diligently in their work. My students strive to excel. In our class it is okay to not know an answer. It is never okay to not know the question. How can one learn if one is not paying attention? While I feel that this is the best class I have taught in my ten plus years of teaching. Several students have excelled in all areas of our curriculum. Malik and Zhervonte are two young men who show leadership every single day in our classroom. They have both shown me that hard work and talent can go hand in hand. They have excelled in all subjects for this quarter. Great job gentlemen! You have shown us what it takes to be the "Best of the Best".

We also have some young ladies who have shown the same amount of determination and skill. These ladies are Quatavia, Dajeha, Diamond, Breanna, and Michelle. These ladies have not only mastered the curriculum at this time. They have done it day in and out. Way to go ladies. You have shown us what it takes to be the " Best of the Best". There is no greater reward for a teacher then to see students believe in themselves and take the chance to grow. I am so proud of them. These are our 4th Grade Scholars!!!!!!!!!!!!!
