Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thanks very much for choosing to send your child to our Academy. We know that you could have chosen another school, however, you decided that our school would become your school of choice. My staff and I certainly welcome your decision and look forward to educating your child/children. We take tremendous pride in being able to serve children and their families. Hence, you will find us available at all times to assist you with any question or concern that you might have. Also know that we will always keep you informed about your child's progress at the Academy.
I encourage you to get involved in our Parent Teacher Staff Organization (PTSO). It is a wonderful way of supporting your child/children and the Academy. It is also an excellent way to keep abreast of the day-to-day happenings of the school. If you cannot make the PTSO meetings we encourage you and the rest of your family members to attend our Harambee celebrations. Harambee is a Swahili expression that means, "coming together". At El-Shabazz Academy, we "come together" every third Thursday of the month to celebrate our students.
