September Newsletter

Dear Parents,
We had a great first week of school and I am enjoying working with your student! A packet containing rules and classroom procedures should have went home the first day of school, if you did not receive it please let me know and I will send home another one. Just a reminder as we get started into the school year to check homework folders every night as there will be math or language arts homework every night, except for Fridays. Also, the mandatory MEAP tutoring begins September 12th and goes through September 29th.  Our class will be holding tutoring Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 5pm, a snack will be provided and as well as busses to take them home after tutoring.

Currently in math we are working with place value as well as continuing to practice 1-3 digit addition and subtraction. In Reading we will be reading stories related to various types of adventures and are working with distinguishing cause and effect relationships. Our spelling tests will be on Fridays so remember to practice the words throughout the week!

Important Dates to remember:
September 22- Open House 9am-3pm
September 30- Harambee 11-6
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Email- CBonham912@gmail.com

Thank you,
Miss Bonham
